For writers

here’s some information on picking up freelance writing gigs, mostly in marketing…

  1. Check out https://www.workingnomads.co/jobs – you can do an email newsletter for specific categories (probably writing+marketing) and it will send you daily alerts… not high volume but the quality is always good when it does come through. Another one that has moderate volume but high quality jobs is www.weworkremotely.com
  2. Setup a profile and get started with online content marketplaces…this is mostly marketing stuff (blog posts, email newsletters, whitepapers/case studies, ad content etc.) and they typically pay per piece (depends a lot on what it is but $150-$300 is a fairly normal range).

Visit this public google doc

Look for this section near the bottom — > Creatives: how / where to find good paying gigs that are properly spec’d

There’s some info there on how to build a profile / portfolio, and a list of online marketplaces to start with.
